How to keep Easter décor simple, easy and fun

From foraged finds to decorative tablescapes, we have lots of ideas to inspire you

The spring clocks have done their thing and lighter evenings are happily with us. The sun has been spotted and we are dreaming of feeling the warmth on our faces, and enjoying the sense of hope and positivity this time of year brings.

It suddenly feels like the time to throw open windows and doors - ok, maybe one or two windows, but there is a sense of change and freshness in the air. It feels like the time to make plans, enjoy the great outdoors and turn our thoughts to day trips into the countryside and upcoming holidays.

Easter offers the perfect opportunity to bring people together. Whether that is an impromptu walk followed by a simple cup of tea and, hopefully, slice of cake, or a full-blown celebratory meal with friends or family. We have a few suggestions to set the scene, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Quick and easy Easter décor tips

Think about bringing the outside in when to comes to Easter décor. Get creative with foraged finds combined with a colour theme or curated pieces to create a naturalistic, no-effort-required look.

Think outside the box

Vintage style planters offer a gorgeous way to display plants or flowers indoors as well as out - the Miniature Cast Iron Urn features pretty, fluted detailing and a rustic finish and lends itself beautifully to spring blooms. Fill this little urn with a mixture of foraged twigs, berries and stems, spring flowers, or a combination of both.

For décor that will last long past spring, our Faux Blossom Stem is a beautiful, delicate and a glorious way to capture a sense of the season. Team with a bold, textural vase such as the Massin or Panobo for an elegant, rustic look.

Our Faux Muscari Plant adds wonderful colour to a tablescape and works really well with our crackle glazed hand-finished plant pots - style three together or space out along a table for a fresh, vibrant pop of colour. Alternatively, make a nest with foraged twigs: Place a faux muscari plant in the middle, and decorate with toning ribbon and mini eggs for a quick and easy centrepiece.

Candlelight always adds atmosphere to tablescape decor

Candlelight is a lovely addition to a dining table and the perfect finishing touch to any tablescape. Our hand-poured Coloured Dining Candles by True Grace offer an array of fresh spring hues (and also compliment our Large Tealights in pastel shades). The candles can be teamed with the colours of your chosen spring blooms and paired with colourful napkins and table linen.

Finish off your table with glass candlesticks (for tea lights as well as candles), and drinkware to toast your springtime celebration. Both our hand-crafted vintage style Prosecco and Etoile glasses bring a certain air of joie de vivre to the table and are perfect for not only serving water, wine and Prosecco, but also make a delightful dessert glass too!

Extra special décor touches that don’t cost the earth

For an extra-special look, the Marla Glass Candle Holder comes in olive green and pale rose dimpled glass. Mix and match colours, or stick to one colour, and mix and match sizes - there are two sizes available - to instantly elevate table decor.

Incredibly pretty, these candlesticks lend themselves to both formal styling in pairs and informal styling with mixed colours and sizes. Both look equally good on scrubbed wooden tabletops or pristine white tablecloths.

Don’t forget the Easter eggs

Whether you are a fan of Easter decorations, it is hard not to fall a little bit in love with our retro-style Felt Bunny Decorations. These adorable little characters work really well as part of an Easter tablescape, or hang them from foraged branches for a quick and easy Easter tree display.

To finish off, fill hand crafted nests, small platters or bowls with Easter eggs - pretty pastel mini eggs look lovely matched with spring flower colours and rustic candles. Although they may not last quite as long…
