We can help you reach your gardening goals

We can help you reach your gardening goals

Container GardenSpring gardening is one of our favourite times. May is a great month to set gardening goals and put plans in motion. A little bit of preparation now, whether you have naturally green fingers or not, will pay off throughout the summer months.

If you have been inspired by the RHS Chelsea Flower Show theme of the restorative power of gardens and gardening, for people and the environment, this is the time to embrace whatever outdoor space you have. Whether you have a vast lawn-filled area or a bijou balcony, we have ideas to help you create and enjoy your perfect garden.

Although Chelsea may have big-budget show gardens that take months to put together, it is also full of clever ideas, gorgeous planting and thoughtful spaces that offer wonderful garden inspiration - even if we only manage to catch up with it all on TV! Touching on this year’s trends, including rewilding, celebrating growth that is good for the environment, tapping into the idea of Japanese-style gardens full of serenity, embracing rust and the less-than-brand new, there are key takeaways that we can all incorporate into our own outdoor spaces.

Our own nod to Chelsea includes working with local business Flowers by Foster to transform one of our Vintage Military Baths into a wonderful container garden. You can see the results in our window display or Instagram.

Gardening accessories you really need

We have gathered a few useful pieces that offer a practical use and look good too under one heading on our website - Garden Utility, which is full of useful and decorative pieces to help you create an outdoor space you love. From outdoor thermometers, nesters and cloches, to doormats and boot scrapers, as well as hand-forged plant supports and trellises, this collection has been chosen for functionality and durability, as well as style.

Stylish support structures

Both decorative and practical, the Flared Plant Support, made from metal which will age to a beautiful rusty finish - a key look from this year’s Chelsea – is particularly useful for border planting. The sculptural shape looks good even when flowering season is over. Similarly, our arch-shaped Garden Trellis is an ideal support for climbing plants and vines. It is perfect for breaking up empty wall space in a garden and, being made from metal, it will also age beautifully.

Staying with Chelsea’s love of rust, our Rusty Crown Garden Decoration can be positioned on top of a planter to help support a maturing plant. It also looks great too, with a gorgeous weathered finish. Our Wirework Garden Cloche does a fine job of protecting homegrown seedlings and plants from nibbling garden wildlife.

Eco-friendly spaces

Our gorgeous traditional Nesting Pocket, which is made from attractive seagrass, offers small birds, such as wrens and blue tits, a safe nesting spot. The natural woven shell also looks lovely hanging in leafy foliage from a handy fixing loop.

Making feathered friends feel properly at home, the Hanging Bird Feeder is a constant bestseller. Made from metal with an attractive grey-wash finish and two decorative birds perched beneath its roof, this is a practical piece that doubles as a lovely decorative addition too.

Our Plume Birdbath Feeder can be used as a feeder, drinking or bathing pool for birds. Perfect for patios, a balcony, lawn, or nestled beneath overhanging branches, the aged patina and goblet-shaped dish create a distinctive focal point that also attracts bird life.

Compact garden solutions

When you have little to no outdoor space, or have a full garden and are looking for extra room for planting, our Steel Window Box offers a solution. Useful on windowsills of all sizes, the rectangular body can be planted up with flowers or fresh herbs. Our Tiered Plant Stand is another great alternative for small spaces - perfect for a variety of pots and will showcase your plants at their very best.

Create focal points on decks, balconies or tucked-away corners with a group of gorgeous Campo Terracotta Pots, which come in soft reddish-brown shades to add warmth and character. Our Anna Urn is another lovely way to create a pretty vignette - it can be filled with greenery for conservatories or sunrooms, or teamed with a couple of planters outdoors.

The Tuscan Wall-Mounted Planter lends a vintage feel – particularly effective on an otherwise bare wall. For instant green-fingered vibes, style up with one of our stunning faux ferns. Add character with an ornate wall-mounted planter. Cleverly aged to give an old, vintage feel, it creates a striking wall display indoors or out. We’ve styled ours with a faux fern.

Many of our concrete and stone planters are pre-loved pieces and are a wonderful way to add character and authenticity to gardens. Keep checking in on the website to see what stock we have as it is constantly changing.

Post-gardening clean up

Once you’ve done all you need to do outside, clean your muddy boots on our smile-inducing Iron Dachshund Boot Scraper. With its eco credentials, our untreated Beech Wood Nail Brush with natural bristles takes care of any literal green fingers. Pair with our Beech Wood Soap Dish in the bathroom or kitchen and up the post-gardening luxe factor by treating yourself to our gift box of traditional French vegetable soaps, which all smell divine.

Our garden range is designed with style and practicality in mind. We hope our website provides inspiration on how to make the most of your outdoor and indoor space. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for help or advice.
