  • SPRING UPDATES...

So, the weather is hopefully improving, there’s sunshine and blue skies around- what better time to be thinking about a Spring clean and restyle inside and out? I’m bringing spring bulbs to the front door and into the house, swapping textiles- changing fabrics, colours and textures. I’ll move furniture nearer to the windows to take advantage of increased light levels. I’m also adding glass vases, concrete planters and ceramics as well as green plants…lots of them!

BRING THE OUTSIDE IN
Nothing lifts a space more than introducing spring blooms- Hyacinth, Pussy willow, Narcissus and Anemone elevate a room with colour, texture and scent so fill votives, vases and vessels with them and they’ll instantly bring life to a room, brightening, tantalising and adding pops of colour. From ‘Wonky’ recycled glass vases, beautiful ‘Bubble’ vases and pretty ‘Antiqued silver’ bud vases to timeless clay cactus pots, crackle glazed concrete and printed planters- our botanical collection of homeware has something for every room, in every abode.

FRESH FRAGRANCE
I like to ring the changes with fragrance each season too, so I plan to buy new scented reeds and candles. I use the same scent throughout the house so I’m thinking Wild Rhubarb will be my chosen scent this Spring- I love Rhubarb, from the huge curling leaves and delicate rose pink stems to its sharp astringent flavour, slow cooked with golden sugar and a hint of cardamom…Mmm.

MIRROR MAKEOVER
I’ve created the illusion of extra space in our narrow hallway by adding mirrors to the wall opposite our front door to maximise the available sunlight. Combine wall hanging and floor standing if space allows, or hang an eclectic mix of shapes and sizes… I can’t wait to unveil our new Spring collection of organic shaped wooden mirrors- like large chopping boards and all slightly different they’ll bring personality to any wall!

STEP OUTSIDE
Transform your garden into an eclectic living space- our collection of timeless garden furniture, planters and vintage statuary has been chosen to transform your outside space. I spent the weekend grouping pots and planters filled with bulbs, creating botanical vignettes within areas of the garden, in anticipation of buds unfolding.

And the agenda for this weekend… wheeling barrows of manure onto raised beds in prep for potato planting and some early seed sowing, then perhaps alfresco lunch weather permitting…

Enjoy!
